What Jesus said about being His Disciple

And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.    Mark 1:17

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.   Matthew 28:18-20

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.   John 15:7,8

And he (Jesus) said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.   Mark 4:24

Watch and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit is truly ready, but the flesh is weak.   Mark 14:38

Give, and it will be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.   Luke 6:38

He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself;.    1 Corinthians 14:4a

My son, attend unto my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings, Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health (medicine) to all their flesh.   Proverbs 4:20-22

Summary

Jesus told us to become fishers of men, telling others how to be born again and be his disciples. He told us to let His words abide in us. He told us to pray so that we would not enter into temptation. He told us to give to others and promised that He would give to us. Through the apostle Paul he told us to pray in tongues to build ourselves up. Finally to thank the Father for all his blessings to us.
